For my final logo design, I worked on a logo with my stylized initials in a square. For my initial sketch, I had lines in opposite inside corners, and also decorative swirls on outside alternating corners. I ended up wanting to keep everything inside the square, so I decided to have two options for my final logo, one with inside corner lines, and a separate style with the inside swirl. I also changed the shape from a square to a similar version with rounded corners. In my work in progress, I tried both the square with straight edges as well, but I think the rounded corners looks more polished and it keeps the other elements together. I can’t decide which decoration inside the box is best to describe me and my style. I also included the original logo I had designed before this class to compare where my style has changed. I still like the circle logo, and how the tail of the ‘Y’ becomes the circle.
