It was a pleasure to be able to photograph the Aria Resort at City Center in Las Vegas. This multi-billion dollar project was one of the biggest private developments in the United States. The whole development encompasses several buildings and hotels. I was able to photograph the Aria. It is a beautiful structure of glass curving and blending with the desert sky. I photographed it from as many angles as I could. My early career experience as a product photographer specializing in glass and reflective subjects has served me well in architectural photography. In photographing highly reflective glass and metal buildings it is important to find the right time and angles to capture subtle tones and gradations on the exterior surfaces. These images were mostly taken at dusk or dawn with clear skies in order to accomplish that.
