The mighty Beholder. It is the quintessential Dungeons and Dragons monster. Weird, scary, and makes no sense.
Also it is awesome.

The mighty Bugbear. It was a kind of Bear-like humanoid.
Come to think of it, there were a few bear/monster hybrids in D&D...

The classic Displacer Beast. It was a very D&D style monster.

The Ettin,  two-headed giant-class monster. It was dangerous and dumb.
I assumed a two headed monster would be born with two belly buttons. Because, fantasy?

The Kobold. Apprently it was a dog-man race related to dragons. Sure...

The Medusa. A fairly tragic race of monsters. Not exclusive to Dungeons and Dragons, but too cool to pass up.

The mighty Ogre. Forget Shrek, this is how I always assume an ogre looks. 90% muscle 9% temper, 1% miscellaneous.

Female Ogre. Big and brutal. I named this one Red Vogna.
