El Monte Tactile Braille Directory

The temporary El Monte Station was selected to be the test for a tactile braille directory due to it's proximity to Access Services, the largest paratransit agency in Los Angeles while a permanent replacement station is being built nearby. It is located at the entrance at the major decision point between two bus bay islands. Is is made to be modular to ease installation and revision during bus service updates. It is designed not only to help the blind but also the sighted navigate the most heavily used bus station in the western United States.
