PATTERN OF LIGHT

'Pattern of light' is self motivated project that was inspired by J. Tanizaki’s quote “Find beauty not only in the thing itself, but in the pattern of the shadows, the light and dark which that thing provides.” My intention to experiment with type throughout different surfaces and light manipulation lead to unexpected and interesting results.
Experimentations with screen printed perspex sheets, laser cut card and light bulbs.
The intention was to create lamp projections to see what kind of results are achievable by using different light sources
The stand was created for exhibition visitors so they can have a glimpse to see the lamp projection on shredded surface.
