EXT. FRIGATE- DAY
A forty-something New England suburban MOM- the sweater around the neck and loafers type- surrounded by rowdy PIRATES is edged to the plank by the crowd. CAPTAIN BILLY, a gruesome buccaneer, leads the crew sabers drawn.
Stopping at the plank.

MOM(Calmly with arms crossed)Billy, swashbuckle after your homework
Abruptly, a projectile GRAPEFRUIT from O.S. splats into Captain Billy's cheek/face, and ALL are silenced in befuddlement. Pulp dripping from his face, Captain Billy looks back to Mom, who stands with arms crossed, grasping a grapefruit.
Pirates give a muffled gasp as Mom shrugs Angelica Houston style.
BACK to Captain Billy and Pirates.
Captain Billy is now a 10 year old, YOUNG BILLY, with grapefruit pulp dripping down his face, a plastic saber in hand and patch on his eye. The Pirates remain unchanged yet baffled.
