Dreamland is a short experimental film that was developed through collaboration and constant process challenging. Movement, composition, and montage come together in an exploration of consciousness and subconsciousness as interpreted by the artists.
The concept for Dreamland began as a question: how can our perception of consciousness and subconsciousness as humans be translated into movement? Abiding to this question allowed for a malleable process that grew along with the collaboration between dancers and video artists. As a narrative emerged in the editing room, the realization came to me that the entire process grew upon itself, and the original question came full circle by the time we finished the piece.
