Ebola in the Ecosystem

  • Ebola in the Ecosystem, Spring 2015

Ebola is a scary subject to talk about, especially to children. With recent prominence in the news and media I created and infographic for children which can be introduced in a classroom setting. Ebola Virus in the Ecosystem shows the native African animals (Fruit bats, Antelope, monkeys and apes) where Ebola can emerge, and explains two methods transmission, Direct and Indirect. Animals are used instead of people as a means to introduce Ebola to children. This helps them approach the subject better and feel less anxiety about the deadly virus and its relationship to humans.
