Harvard Museum of Natural History Rebrand

The Harvard Museum of Natural History is the most visited attraction at Harvard due to its variety of collections and temporary exhibitions. More than 220,000 visitors each year take advantage of their offerings everywhere from tours to classes. The HMNH is one of my favorite museums in Boston, and upon visiting one day I realized that the brand is a bit inconsistent, so I decided to create a more simplistic brand that has potential to be spread throughout the sectors of the museum.

The thought behind the branding came from the mineral room. The mineral exhibition is one of the three original exhibitions and represents the strength and diversity that fills the HMNH far beyond this single exhibit. I created a brand proposal guide for my new logo, as well as various applications and a process booklet.
