Stafford Hoard - Blue Marlin Spark Award Entry

The Staffordshire Hoard is a large finding of Anglo-Saxon gold. The largest ever, in fact.
It's intricancy is beyond any ever seen, which gives the entire collection a value of £3.2m.

The patterns on the bottle have been inspired by the flowing, weaving patterns found on the artfects in the hoard. This is a reponse to the Blue Marlin Spark Award brief, where entrants had to
create an alcohol based on their home town.

This entry was shortlisted to the final 6.
The pattern is made from two interconnecting lines that vary in weight, creating an abstracted "SH".
The pattern connects indefinitely.
The bottle comes in a box that inspired by transport crates. This is in reference to the extreme value and importance of the hoard, and helps to give the user a sense of discovery upon opening.
An insert on the back of the crate lid explains the background of the Hoard, and the drink in general.
A multipack crate gives the chance for the bottles design to be fully shown. Twisting the bottle slightly in each position will ensure the design is shown in full.
