Named after a song by The Smiths, this piece was created using a discarded paper towel holder, a pedestal candle holder, acrylic gel mediums and paint, an HO train figure and greenery, an antique blinking doll eye, and glow-in-the-dark glass frit. It stands about 18" tall, give or take.
All it takes is a little bit of light and this is what happens when the lights are off. The more light, the brighter and longer it glows. Sunlight works best.
Her eye opens and closes.
It's hard to know who wants who, or whether it's a mutual thing. But here they are, gazing at each other into eternity.
