Elmwood Brief - Aztec Wine

Mama Quilla

The idea behind the Aztec inspired wine originally came from the myth of El Dorado, A city of lost gold hidden in the South American Rainforests.

Mama Quilla meaning the 'God of Harvest' was the basis for the brand, a hidden and rare luxury wine, giving not only a taste of ancient tradition but a moment in time.

The unique and hand made wine bottles all differ in traditional Aztec / inca design. The design has individually been screen printed in gold, black and bronze.

Inca Gold - Intis Sharaz
Aztec Black - Fond de Cave, Chardonnay
Bronze Age - La Malbec
The hand made boxes are made of traditional wood, aged for 100 years to give the natural aged effect with worm holes.

To add to the 'Lost' theme, the boxes are plain with no visuals, only inside is there information regarding the product. This gives the client the experience of unearthing and revealing the hidden treasures of whats within.

All of wine comes with its own story and description, hand bound using the Aztec techinique of knots depicting the years and age of the product.
