WindWells
Windwells, an exhibition by Pat Hoffie and Stefan Purcell took place at the QLD State Library in 2010. The artists were inspired by history, stories and memories uncovered in the John Oxley Library, chiefly that of windmills and water divining in the Victorian era. They brought together the notions of art, science, history and magic to create an exhibition full of movement, intrigue and science fiction. The design concept I created for Windwells embodies these notions and presents them in a steam punk aesthetic. Letterforms became the focus, representing research and history. I designed them to look like mechanical creatures, assembled with junkyard scrap metal and materials, but with poise and a spirit of life.

Please note: This branding concept is a university project only.
