Escapement Gear: Kinetic Sculpture III Process

Process video of machining an escapement gear for
my next Kinetic Sculpture
I started by laser cutting a template to use while machining to roughly check accuracy. I then cut a piece of 0.25" aluminum and clamped it onto our Sharp milling machine. Using the rotory table I cut out the profile of the gear and finally I used an end mill to free the final gear.
