Brief:
To acquire knowledge on peranakan history and culture.
To design jewelries which are well-suited towards the peranakan tradition.


Indian Malay
This piece has a fusion of the Malay and Indian. With influences of their habits, culture and tradition.
Malay influence: The Malay culture loves floral designs.
Indian influence: A bold geometric shape, a Lotus. In Hinduism, the lotus primarily represents beauty and non-attachment. The lotus is rooted in the mud but floats on the water without becoming wet or muddy. 


Indian Malay and Chinese
There's a little fusion in this piece, with influence of the Indian, Chinese and Malay culture.
Indian influence: This piece is inspired by the Indian ornaments.
Chinese influence: Red corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy.
Malay influence: This piece is designed in an Islamic geometric shape.


Portuguese Indian Malay
This piece has a fusion of the Portuguese, Malay and Indian.
With influences of their habits, culture and tradition.
Portuguese influence: A typical aspects of the Portuguese culture.
Malay influence: Portuguese tiles are also designed incorporating the Islamic elements. 
Indian influence: This piece is has an overall shape from the traditionally Indian culture, making rangoli.

This piece has a fusion of the Portuguese, Malay and Indian.
With influences of their habits, culture and tradition.
Portuguese influence: This piece has the elements of a common Portuguese hand-painted tiles.
Indian influence: This piece is has an overall shape from the traditionally Indian culture, making rangoli.
