Batman Audio Assignment

My first audio assignment in college was to take a few pages from a comic book, and create the sound scape, dialogue backing track and Foley sounds. The task was if you close your eyes, you could imagine the story unfold.

As part of a team we set out and looked for a comic book, and being a big fan of Batman, the team narrowed our focus down to batman comics. We ended up with a few pages from Batman Noel and started the audio creation. Being someone who believes in narratives, the few pages we had didn’t really have an ending, so I tried at the time to write a new scene to fit in with the last page of the comic and try tell a short story.

I edited, recorded, voiced and mastered the sounds in the piece. I voiced Batman and the Riddler, created all the cape sounds and explosion sounds and remixed sound effects in the final scene.

Thanks for Listening!
