Letterpress Light Workshop during Typo Day 2014
A workshop by Prof. Jeff Pulaski and Mrs. Joey Hannaford held at Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune.
Workshop Theme : Letterpress printing.
Letterpress printing is a physical/analog process that allows artists to fully experience letters as 3-dimensional objects. In this guided "letterpress–light" workshop, we were supposed to print with raised laser-cut letterforms to create typographic experiments using stamping and rubbing techniques that simulate traditional letterpress printing. The workshop was completely experimental, allowing us to push the boundaries of typographic form in new ways and in the process discover more expressive solutions to typographic problems.
