OWNING MY PRIVILEGE IN NAMING YOUR WILDERNESS

Layered print created from a pigment print, laser cut pigment print, screen print.

The first step was to create some textures for the background. To do this I used some inks and acrylic paint on a board.
I then took some photographs of land and the snow piles at the end of the parking lot at work.
I then took to Photoshop to produce the background image.
I then had a pattern screen printed on the pigment print. The first stage was the X pattern in clear ink.
I then had the second, third and fourth layers screen printed in transparent blues.
I took a photo graph of a tree of a Claude Lorrain painting when I was at the Toledo Museum of art. I isolated a single tree and had that converted into paths in Illustrator, which were exported to the laser cutter. Those trees were placed in the composition about 1/4 inch above the background.
I then needed to take the image of the painting into Illustrator and establish the paths that would be exported to the laser cutter.
Then, I had the pigment print of the painting cut on the laser cutter.
In the final stage I placed small wooden pieces into the background.
I have two of these left from the edition - inquire at www.gregoryeuclide.com/prints/
All of this was done with the help of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Thank you MCAD.
