Here are the final renders for the second project of my Surface Modeling class, taken during my 2014 fall semester. 

 

The project entailed applying the DeWalt design aesthetic to an appliance that the company would not otherwise produce. I chose to model a pair of DeWalt nightvision goggles. 

 

This was my first modeling project with a significant amount of creative freedom, so the process involved collecting a great deal of reference images as well as dealing with a few different designs.

 

The modeling process was very boolean heavy.
