Loose sketches of possible underground mutated mole-type monsters/creatures
After realizing I wanted to create creatures based off of a mole colony I began refining the ideas/designs down.
These "creatures" have been consuming the rich uranium deposit found in an old underground mining facility far off in the middle of a high-desert area near a small dusty town.
There are 3 diferent types of moles in this colony/swarm.... 1.) The Queen 2.) The Princess and 3.) The grunts
Since the moles have been feeding on the uranium over time without the small town nearby noticing anything strange (since they live underground and the mine has been abandoned for some time) they began to form crystals/minerals along their bodies as well as mutating their body shape and size.

Loose human/main characer sketches
• Two gas station workers in the small town nearby (best friends)
• A geologist whose van broke down in the town while on her way to do some geological research on the old mine within the town

Rufus - Tall and thin. Loves to mountain board/goof off rather than working. Very social but a bit of a show off and clumsy. Best friends to "Hank" and has been for years. Dreams of leaving the dusty town to become a pro-mountain boarder but has no actual skills in this sport.
"Hank" - Large and beefy body type. ( sweats a lot ) Best friend to Rufus. Works as the main mechanic in town...there isn't a machine he can't fix. Quiet and a little more grounded/sensible than Rufus. "Hank" isn't his real name...rather his uniform just came with a "Hank" name tag and decided to just keep it. Has a massive crush on the local diner waitress
Lalita - Fun and energetic! She is very passionate about science as well as all living things. Discovers the Princess Mole as she is doing research studies near the mines...the princess is so friendly it tags along with the facinated Lalita.....She takes the mole back to the town not knowing the events that is about to unfold upon them later.
