Team and Role
As the sole designer, I worked closely with the GoToMeeting iOS and Android development teams which consist of developers, quality assurance engineers, content editor and the product owner. I was also responsible for interaction design, iconography, specifications, asset delivery and collaboration with development in an agile environment.
Final Design
As one of the company's first forays into the mobile space, the product team challenged themselves with improving on the current web experience. We started that by learning more about our users. We discovered that most users have just under 2 computers in their accounts, which makes the list view, as displayed on the web, not optimal. I created a more visually engaging design, encouraging the user to tap on the screen to connect.
My Computers Screen, Icon View. Based on data that verified most users had no more than 2 computers in their account, I designed a display that was more visually interesting than the standard list view.
My Computers Screen, List View. We did keep the list view, available, which is a more optimal user experience for accounts with many computers.
Login Screen. Users are able to log into the app with their GoToMyPC credentials. New users can navigate to the account creation webpage when they tap on the "Try It Free" button.
