Luminaire Design: Ro130

A school project for the KTH Royal Institute of Technology's Architectural Lighting Design Master's program, this street light was designed to provide focusable light in rural areas, so as to not disturb the surrounding ecosystem. Recessed shutters allow the light to be cropped to the edges of the road. It's elongated shape follows the shape of the street that it is mounted beside. On each extremity, a small hole covered by diffused acrylic allows motorists to see the row of street lights and follow the direction of the road. It's LED light sources make it a low power consuming luminaire and thus make it even more ecological.
