A Dream is a Wish
My concept for my wire construction broach was dream. To elaborate on the concept of dream I wanted to show what I believed it would look like to try to explain what it is like to try to remember your dreams after you wake up. For me, it is very difficult to remember my dreams after waking up. They seem so realistic while I am asleep but when I wake up I cannot hardly remember them. I wanted to show this through my broach. For my broach I wanted it to actually be worn on the head since when you are dreaming you are using your imagination and I feel that it would make more sense as a hair piece. In my broach I try to show how when you first wake up it seems as though you can remember your dream, but the more that you try to focus on the dream and what happed in it the more it seems to disappear. I tried to show this by having one piece of my broach being more solid and then getting more linear as it moved toward the back of the head. There are then two chains that cross behind the head that have little bits of "memory" on them then the chains connect to the second piece which seems to go in all directions. This symbolizes the complete loss of any memory there was of the dream.
