Forged Antiquities
Art direction and design for a doctoral thesis under the title “Forged Antiquities”, written for the faculty of Philosophy’s school of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. We chose to replace images with oversized typographic elements in section titles. We combined two different fonts, serif and sans serif, to explore the balance between classic and contemporary features. The same logic was applied at the cover of the book, showing a rather modern version of “Hermaphrodite”.
