Final assignment for the Aesthetic and Language of Photography class at the University of Brasilia (Universidade de Brasília). The objective of this assignment was to create a photographic essay combining photography and another medium, like music, video, art, and so on. This particular essay mixes self portraits with paintings. It was based on a article written previously in class about how self portraits can express the deepest in our souls and how, at the same time, they can be considered acting, performance. Each one of the photographs expresses a feeling (anxiety, (in) love, nostalgia, serenity, tiredness, happiness, pain, fear, sadness).
