BRIEF
 
Create a campaign to incentivise people to spend time, visit and utilise the Canal and Rivers of England &
Wales. Then think of a way to encourage each person to sign up and become a friend of The Canal & River Trust.
During my research into the Canal & River Trust, I discovered a vibrant organisation steeped in history that encompasses a vast range of activities that often can’t be found in day to day life, from fast paced activities such as cycling or canoeing, to more relaxing past times like nature watching.
I therefore wanted to create a campaign that celebrates and promotes this broadness, with the idea that it doesn’t matter who you are or what you enjoy doing, there is probably something to suit you.
I decided upon the title ‘It’s in our nature’ as this is often said when refering to a persons innate characteristics or something which makes them unique. I have reflected this within the design of the mark after research into the visual similarities of finger prints and ripples in water. I have also created 3 icons to be used within the campaign based on this idea, through which I have split the main characteristics of the trust up into 3 sections, people & activities, nature, and heritage.
