This project is a visual interpretation of music. Rather than illustrate the lyrics to the songs I have chosen, the formal qualities of the imagery corresponds with the formal qualities of the sound as it changes throughout the song, so that one might “see” the music. What makes my work different than software like Windows Media Player that are programmed to do something similar automatically is that my work is considered, intentional, and spare in its color palette and use of effects.

 

This was an experimental project, meant for me to take a step in a new and unknown direction. I would like to continue works such as these and further the project in the future.
