The State of Louisiana’s BORSF Endowment

Benedicte Mauguiere presently serves as Professor and department chair with the Department of French and Italian at Colby College, ME. She has an extensive academic experience and she earned several awards, scholarly grants, and professional distinctions over her career at the University of Louisiana. From 2002 to 2005, Benedicte Mauguiere was honored to hold a Willis Granger and Tom Debaillon BORSF Endowed Professorship in Francophone Studies.

BORSF (or the Board of Regents Support Fund) is a Louisiana trust fund dedicated to enhancing economic development and promoting educational excellence within the state. Dedicated by the Louisiana State Constitution to the Board of Regents, this $583 million fund currently supports programs in the four essential areas of research and development, enhancement, endowed chairmanships, and graduate fellowships. Candidates for BORSF awards are chosen for their ability to make positive contributions to the field of higher education and/or the Louisiana state economy.
