Second Year University, Intergrated Creativity (DES200). In a group of 5 we had to create a full size installation for the University Design Gallery. Our installation was based around the word, 'Borders' and explained and showed the borders between heaven and hell. The piece was based on a metro station, and either taking the rotue down hell or the route upto heaven, therefore explaining the metro map, and sign, sayign 'Afterlife'. Heaven being the ladders going into the clouds, and hell being the ladder descending into a dark hole. We portrayed heaven with clouds, and used specfic lighting to make it look as realistic as possible. To portray hell we charcoaled a ladder, and made the whole into the ground look very dirty, dark and messy. The bag in the middle represented someone waiting at the metro platform, deciding which route to take.
