Creature Creation

The focus of the assignment was to create a cryptid creature only from descriptions given from eyewitnesses.
This creature is called the Kongamato, a winged predatory cryptid based primarily in the southern regions of Africa.
Close Up of the Kongamato
This is a concept for a parasitic relationship between two creatures. The orange bug-like creature is a fungal-headeating-louse which would eat the head of other organisms and attach itself inside the resulting stump. It would then proceed to grow into the creature like a fungus, gaining control of the host's body and effectively using it as a food source to grow more louses.
Preliminary designs of the hybrid dragon creature. I drew inspiration from different insects while still trying to keep the feeling of a dragon intact.
Finalized design of the hybrid dragon
This goal was to create a centaur based on different animals as a base and to explore the character of the creature. I chose the Arctic Wolf and chose to focus in on the hunter and pack aspects of the animal..
Designs for 3 creatures that may arise from a closed enviornment, this one being a ocean world where the only dry land available are huge forest-jungles prompting all animals to evolve to fly, glide, or jump to survive.
A nonsensical creature, it rears up and fills itself up with air, changing color as well, to try and intimidate other creatures with its size to protect its rather frail sack body.
