As a software engineer within Samsung's R&D group (Dallas), I developed an events tracking SDK that was built for the Galaxy View tablet. Approximately 1,000,000 tablets were sold and launched with this SDK.
The goal of this slim client Android SDK was to persist local event data and upload data snap shots via REST APIs for processing to a back-end(I only worked on the client SDK). On any given user interaction, the SDK could record raw timing information, usage data, and statistics. Then, through a serial queue would upload event data.
