STAEDTLER HIGHLIGHTER
For this project, I wanted to create a new identity for Staedtler Highlighters that captured their highlighting function in a clever and eye-catching way.
For this project, I wanted to create a new identity for Staedtler Highlighters that captured their highlighting function in a clever and eye-catching way.
The logo itself is built around quotation marks, a universal symbol for highlighting important text. But look a little closer, and you'll see the negative space between the marks cleverly forms the letter "S" for Staedtler! To keep the design clean and modern, I went with Bahnschrift for the font and a color scheme of black, white, and a bright, highlighter yellow.
This yellow pops not just in the logo, but also in the poster and billboard designs I created. I used a light grey and white background to make sure that bright yellow stayed the center of attention.
Finally, to add some depth to the design, I played with the principles of focus and balance.
Overall, this project was a fun exploration of how to represent a highlighter in a fresh and creative way. Let me know what you think!
