Continuing with the "Treasures of the Serbian Orthodox Church" series, we were invited in 2023 to design and photograph the most valuable objects from the largest Church Treasury in Belgrade, Serbia. The challenge was to capture the essence of these significant relics, as well as the architecture and surroundings of the church.
The design focuses on the 19th-century church, aiming to evoke the appropriate historical context with illustrations by Katerina Razumova for Studio Arhetip. The typography is inspired by the Cyrillic letters of that era.
The cover was crafted using premium Italian coated paper with soft-touch lamination, providing a luxurious tactile experience, complemented by spot varnish for added elegance.
The book and cover were printed on a Heidelberg Speedmaster at Sluzbeni Glasnik in Belgrade.
