MAROU X UNESCO PROJECT

Inspired from "Bat tien hien tho" dance, to promote the traditional dance that only takes place in Hue Imperial, I did research and try to recreate the nymphs in my own way of drawing. In the past, the nymphs danced to the King and perfomed traditional dance to celebrate the King's birthday.
Marou has always been a chocolate brand in Vietnam uses the texture, pattern and traditional elements to apply yo their products, produce an effective, eye-catching and intriguing to the market. Understanding that Marou has various versions to suit with each occasion and events in Vietnam, I decided to make a collaborative between UNESCO and Marou to promote the traditional dance which is unique and should be regconized.
Having done the research from the Marou company, I found out that they use pattern from traditional Vietnamese architects and arts, so I did my research on Hue Citadel (where the dance comes from) to apply into my outcomes.
The design : each of the nymph has a different flavor, different color based on the illustration of the nymph in the original.
