Packaging Design Solution with Illustrations for Mason Dixon Distillery

I had the awesome chance to work with Mason Dixon Distillery to create a packaging solution for their craft cocktails. The label branding includes an open space variable where we replaced the flavor icon for each SKU while also updating each can color. I love creating a unique set of illustrations that have their own set of rules. Consistent illustration style connects the artwork together to establish a strong visual identity system. When paired together on the packaging and label design, the art is recognizable and engaging.

Mason Dixon Distillery was looking for a refresh for their can labels. They needed a branding solution that allowed for a flavor icon variable on each label as a dozen+ cocktail labels would need rolled out. This is just the first set featuring drink illustrations, mugs and cocktail glasses.

The custom drawn art creates a quick visual to the customer and cues to the cocktail flavor inside. Designing the artwork in a consistent style with line work and halftone textures creates a cohesive brand identity for the series.
Illustrations add a unique and personalized touch that resonates with the customer on a more human level. A critical element in a brand’s visual identity, illustrated labels become more memorable. In turn that means brand awareness, and more sales. Your end goal is to sell more product right!?
