Shape of the Images / Tomoya Fujii
In this work, humans improvise and assemble materials that are discarded in everyday life, such as cloth, wood, and printed matter, in a space, and use multiple projectors to create images that can be accessed offline and online using smartphones. This is a series that has been re-projected and re-photographed. The projected images are a mixture of images taken by the artist himself in the past and data floating around on the internet.
The cover, which is printed with silver on black paper, serves as an index and is processed to make the multi-layered images and countless materials appear uniform. The cover line maintains distance between the observer and the image and delays interpretation.
