FLORAMORA
Floramora was my second UX project for my UI/UX Design certificate through Google/Coursera, that I then redesigned after the certificate was complete to see how I improved. It is a responsive website designed to answer the prompt "Design a responsive website for a florist"

Duration of project: v.1: 3 weeks, v.2: 1 week
Tools: v.1: Adobe XD, v.2: Figma, Material Design, Unsplash
Target User: Age 17+
My Role: Idea, UI/UX design
THE PROBLEM: A freestanding florist would likely have a hard time competing with larger corporations.

THE SOLUTION: A dynamic website that does not overwhelm the user with options, but still puts the full customization power in the user's hands. Information available about the significance of the available flowers empowers the user to make meaningful purchases and return to the business later.

Reflections
Admittedly, I prefer this first version of this website aesthetically, but I find Figma easier to work with, which is why I thought to re-do the design in addition to measuring my progress. I think the first version uses a bit too much negative space, but I prefer the color palette over the second version. The second version includes specified cart and checkout pages which completes the task flow better. Overall, while I am relatively happy with the first design iteration, I am glad I went through with the redesign, as I was able to learn more about using color gradients and creating complex shapes in Figma!
