A trip in my teens through Barcelona alongside my abuela and mom inspired Antiga, a project capturing the essence of the tapas restaurants and Spanish bars we explored. Choosing the name "Antiga" was a natural decision, as it is my abuela's maiden name and symbolizes our shared heritage and familial bonds. Drawing inspiration from my abuela's distinctive signature, I hand-lettered "Antiga" and used these forms to guide my illustrations of traditional Spanish tiles found scattered along the streets of Barcelona.
