Game Prompt: Stretched Canvas - an intense single-player horror game combined with hack-n-slash and set in a surreal painting.

This creature is one of the original beings (or sketches) of the world. I like to think the creature was the original painting on the canvas that has been painted over to make something new, but there is always that shadow of it living there, the slight impression that it still exists under the final painting. That is only if you were looking at the painting as an outside observer, but from within the painting, it takes on a more important role. This being is the quest giver that you must find. It blends into the monochromatic-gold flecked hills of obsidian, slate, and perpetual mist where it is mostly sedentary and, at first glance, appears mummified. The obsidian-like slate that grows out of its back and head helps integrate it into its surroundings. It has no natural predator anymore and is very tall in relation to other beings. Its leathery and tough skin is just about impenetrable, making where it lays amongst the rocks comfortable enough for it. It no longer roams around like it used to and has outgrown its hunting days, preferring to be the watcher, its diet has changed to only eat the fungus that grows around and on it. This titan’s age has granted it vast intelligence and wisdom, and no one quite knows what it looked like before it reached this stage of desiccation. It is an eldritch being that is so old, it appears to have outlived its body and yet still possesses it.
