This is an oil on canvas still life painting of three books and a tea pot. For the assignment, we were tasked to use oil paints to depict a tea pot on top of three books of various colors. We were tasked to make colors with the oil paints and capture those colors in this painting. The purpose of this assignment was to explore the capabilities of oil paints. For me personally, this was a very challenging assignment due to the length of time it took for the paint to dry.
