A new eco-friendly table, made of renewable or recycled materials, with fancy connectivity options !
We just tried to emphasize the shape and materials by playing with lighting, and give an overall modern and sleek feeling with the synchronization to the music.

As usual, a playblast straight out from Blender thanks to Dublast, and some text placement to check if the logic works.
We retimed some shots that needed more time, added some stuff but most of the animation is already here.
The scenes can feel pretty empty as we are aiming for a clean look, where detail is mostly added with the procedural texture of the background and the subtle lighting.

Most of the table model was provided, I mainly had to add subtle bevels everywhere, fix the geometry, unwrap it properly.
I also had to create some variations, as the main focus of the video is a 150x150cm table, but there are 5 different models based on the same design.
Lastly I had to model the sockets, and give them a procedural plastic texture.

We were given a few reference pictures of the materials, most had to be created from scratch as we didn't have enough textures or high quality images to make something clean and hide any repetition. Most of the work was done on the ash and black-tinted ash for the main model, and also on the floor texture, so it works in closeups as well as wider framings.

Here's a quick breakdown of the lighting of one of the main scenes, and a few behind the scenes of others. I have been mainly using simple planes with gobos, or even just simple geometry to optimize the shadow placement, in order to frame every shot perfectly. Then soome area lights carefully placed to highlight bevels or materials, and focus the eyes even more on the important parts.
