Before working on the full layout for an interview reformat, I created three different cover spreads. Using InDesign, I had to take an interview and create a layout for cover spreads. Having just watched (and loved) The Last Black Man in San Francisco, I did a deep dive into the writers Jimmie Fails and Joe Talbot. The the cover designs were made to look different while still capitalizing on the green that is abundant in the pictures used. While one design may look symmetrical, another is a bit more scattered. Having varied covers gave me an opportunity to try designing at different comfort levels.
