Set on Earth in the early years of its history, our story follows two microorganisms who find themselves find themselves at the forefront of a groundbreaking moment in the history of the world - the first-ever kiss. As these nervous and curious microbes navigate their way through the awkwardness of first times 3.7 billion years ago, they highlight the beauty of vulnerability and the universal nature of shared experiences.

The short animation explores the origins of connection and expressions of affection. "The First Kiss Ever" is a heartwarming and humorous celebration of love's evolution, capturing the magic of the first kiss that forever shaped the course of connection on Earth.

We're four Graphic Design & Visual Communication students based in Berlin and "The First Kiss Ever" is the result of our Motion Graphics and Animation class. Realized in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, it is our first try at a short animation.
