In my latest photo series, "A Day in a Saree," I embarked on a journey to recapture some of the moments from my childhood. These are the moments that many of us who grew up in Indian households are intimately familiar with – the graceful women of the house effortlessly wearing sarees and going about their daily routines.

I tried to capture the simplest of moments, from brewing a cup of tea in the kitchen to losing oneself in the pages of a book on a tranquil afternoon – these are the scenes that linger in my memories. As I trace back, I am reminded of how my mother, like so many others, navigated her daily tasks with an air of ease, all while draped in a saree that seemed to empower her every step.

Even today, my mother considers the saree her "comfort zone," a sentiment that I can't help but marvel at. And so, an idea was born – a collaboration between @storiesaroundher storiesaroundher that celebrates the profound connection between a woman and her saree.

This series is more than just a collection of photographs; it's a tribute to the timeless tradition of the saree and the women who bring it to life. Through every click , I aim to capture not just the visuals, but the emotions, memories, and the reminiscent times with not only my mother, but also grandparents who always doned the garment, with ease.
