Summer of Illustration

This summer I decided that this would be the one. This would be the summer that I finally stopped messing about and came up with some sort of cool drawing style. Unfortunately the messing around still happened, but, as evidenced by this page, my drawing has luckily continued regardless. I even managed to get a few freelance design gigs! (See the Sports and Social Club Logo) Joy abounds!

Anyway, on to the illustrations. They were all done with the intention of popping them up on my Redbubble account, with the exception of my self-portrait (because honestly, who would want to buy a picture of my face? Of course if you want to snap one up on the off chance I become famous and their value skyrockets, let me know!). I wanted to produce work that I was proud of at the end of it, instead of vaguely embarrassed by (such lofty ambitions!), and this style sort of evolved on it’s own from there. They’re placed chronologically, so you can see how it went from extremely simple blocks of colour to a more complex image with a bit more depth to it. I’m looking forward to doing some more before the summer’s out, and seeing the style grow and change.
