The Lovely Bones Movies
opening title sequence
The goal of the project is to create an opening title sequence for the movie The Lovely Bones, which is basically creating an edit where you describe what the movie is all about vaguely. The concept is about moments; how a picture can capture those moments and how quickly a moment can disappear.
The images chosen are all important visuals for Susie Salmon (the main character in the movie), I made it seem like it was taken using her POV, looking through a teenager's eye. Then, the way I edited the images is based on how a photograph develops in a dark room, it slowly shows up until the photo is complete. I chose that because the movie was during the time when film photography was still the norm and also because Susie Salmon loved taking pictures. It also resembled how a memory happens and just fades eventually. The music chosen feels very nostalgic and is by Brian Eno.
