Character design commission of the client's character, Shilka. Requested a front and back reference sheet with both a fully rendered and flat color version.
(Unsigned versions of the final image are available upon request, at my and the client's discretion)
No prior references were supplied, so I discussed with the client to build the character design from scratch based on their descriptions.
Once the design was set, I worked on creating the turn-around and laying down the flat colors.
An additional portion of the design that needed drafting was the character's visor. We went through a few different designs before settling on the final shape.
From here the flats were detailed with decals, dirt, and scuffs, and the work was rendered and shaded. Variations on the final piece with various levels of rendering can be seen below.
