Store design - Boba Tea Shop

Working as an industrial designer, at Geneva Ad, I have had the honour of working with Ben Stein; owner of Ben's Bubble Tea. I have done the design of their complete stores, showcased below.

Centurion Mall, Centurion Pretoria, South Africa
Shelly Center, KZN, South Africa
Riverside Mall, Rondebosch, Cape Town, South Africa
N1 City Mall, Cape Town, South Africa
Initially the client wanted me to design a store conscious of a small budget for the store size. This meant a design with clever use of open space and coloration in order to create areas of interest across the stores, i.e. small budget for the client but not a small budget experience for their clients. Careful use of materials meant that this could be made a reality.
There was to be a photo opportunity in the store for social media posts. With a growing resurgence of neon looking signage I designed a boba cup that patreons could post in front of. This was carried forward til a point in the project.
The final product differed from the initail design due to unforseen changes by the landlord as to what was permitted in the space. Without being able to fix to the walls the design had to be adapted. The TV would still be the best way to hide the electrical distribution board, but would have to be mounted to a steel structure bolted to the floor.

These changes in projects (in my opinion) prove what type of designer you are. I adapted and the project continued, and was a complete success.
The client didn't want to have the syrup bottles detracting from the rest of the store so I designed steel boxes that can lock and fix to the counter to make the syrup section look better.
The front counter has an illuminated logo. The round logo wouldn't have the same effect for the store so I suggested making it linear.
More info will be added soon as this is an ongoing roll out. Look out for the stores.
