An ARTS 222 Project. 

The prompt was to utilize proximity and alignment to create a 5x7 typographic invitation and challenge yourself to make a creative invitation using only type. 

Specifically we were limited to using one or two colors, no more than three typefaces, no photos or illustrations, no type effects, and horizontal or vertical lines/dividers only to visually organize the page. Another important aspect was to establish hierarchy of names or titles. Included on the invitation was the name of event, who or what the event was for, time, locations, and RSVP information. 

I created a sweet and delicate birthday party invitation for a young girl. I used light pink and white and a fancy text to relate to the tea party event. I used white space to create the shape of a birthday cake and create hierarchy to draw the eye of the reader and convey the theme of the invitation.
