Food deserts can be described as areas where residents’ access to affordable, healthy food options is restricted or nonexistent due to the absence of grocery stores within convenient traveling distance. 

These posters were created to bring awareness of food deserts and encourage people to volunteer by delivering food to victims of food deserts. The treasure chest of fresh vegetables symbolizes that fresh produce is like gold, a rarity, and treasure for people who live in food deserts. I also added a satirical aspect with the title "Welcome to the food desert ____", which is similar to a postcard welcome.
